Amazing food like at any chipotle, except they have a lot of burrito wrapping troubles and can sometimes be slow.

This chiptole is the best. If you don't think chiptoles are different, you are wrong! Some chiptoles are better than others in terms of freshness of the food and speed of service.

I used to love Chipotle until going here. I went there last weekend and ordered a fajita burrito. They did not give me any onions or peppers despite me telling them over and over they missed it. They just kept saying it was coming. Then when they wrapped my burrito I told the guy to wait, I need my peppers and onions and he completely ignored me and kept wrapping it like I was speaking in tongues or something. When I got home and opened the burrito, it fell apart. Was not even wrapped very well. The rice was in big hard globs and the chicken had no flavor. The place was a mess too and dirty dishes were everywhere in the back. I will never go there again.

NEVER ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS LOCATION! Or at least don't order online if you want guacamole on your burrito/burrito bowl. They will put lettuce on it and no guacamole and happily pocket the $1.90 or so you pay for an extra product. This has happened to me OVER SIX TIMES NOW. Coincidence? I think not.

Lines are always very slow moving. Long lines are expected at Chipotle, but these don't ever move fast. This Chipotle is closest to my home, but it's never good. I drive further away just to get Chipotle whenever I have a craving. Might as well make it worth it, right?

Millenial Frenzy! I stopped in to bring Ci some lunch on her 12 hour shift at Hamline and I barely could stand it. I was surrounded by slow moving millenials in line, then more sheep were manning the lines which, need I say, were moving insanely slow. It took everything in me to not jump behind the counter, snatch an apron off of one of the sheep, and show them how to get several people through the line ten times faster than they do! I eventually made it to the front of the line, ordered, paid, and got the heck out of there! No limes though people!!! No Limes!!!! I was almost afraid to bring this to Ci without the limes but I was more afraid of how long it would take one of the sheep to find a lime, cut it, and bring it out...Sorry Ci, no limes.

I have been to most Chipotle's in the Western burbs, Minneapolis, and St. Paul region. To say this is my favorite says something! I have become such a snob about their food that there are some locations that I just wont go to (yes Minnetonka that means you - great customer service but poor pico quality and consistently out of guacamole - luckily this is easy to improve on). The staff at Ford Parkway are friendly and I also see their managers there often. In addition, their salsa and guac are consistently on par (I always go vegetarian there so this means a lot). The most I have to wait for fajitas (which is rare at this location) is a few minutes. I now will go out of my way, road construction and all, to go here versus a closer location. Thank you for caring!

Made an online order, paid for it and now have been waiting for the food for over 15 minutes. I have seen several iterations of people get here since we've been waiting get in line get their food, pay for it and leave and we're still waiting.

The food is almost always pretty fresh and tasty- pretty standard Chipotle quality. The workers here are pretty hit or miss. Sometimes I walk in and all of the employees are cheerful and extremely helpful, but most other days I walk in they all act like I am being an inconvenience for coming in. During peak lunch and dinner hours the line is out the door and moves pretty slowly, but if you go in a little after the lunch rush or a little after the dinner rush, the line is short and moves extremely fast.

Friendliest staff ever. They are very good about restocking the food on the line. This is always a problem for me at other Chipotle locations. I want the fajita veggies and always have to wait or go without it seems. This place ALWAYS has veggies becuase they are lightning fast at refilling. I drive to this Chipotle when there is another one closer to where I live because of this and also because of how nice the staff is.

I hate giving this 1 star, but I have to be fair. Been going here for over 10 years, before this most recent year I would've given them 4 stars. Went there earlier today and ordered the chicken fajita burrito. Was told to wait on the peppers (no big deal, no hurry and happens a lot lately). When they were ready they put them on my half a scoop chicken , little rice burrito. It fell apart soo they threw ingredients (what was left) into another burrito shell. That fell apart, soo again they dumped (what was left) again into another burrito she'll and wrapped it up, this time also scooping old junk off counter into burrito. It ended up looking like a wrap almost. Was disgusted yet knew if I said something it would cause a scene. I was hungry, ate it and the mostly wrap burrito tasted stale. Made a taco bell average burrito look huge. This happens a lot at this Chipotle lately(main reason I finally made this review). I gave it my final try and felt like the workers were just angry at the world. This one in particular has really gone down hill, and fast. Don't know if it's training or workers that don't give a ****. I really loved this place at one time. Going to try other Chipotles for now on.

This location is a well oiled machine. It doesn't matter how long the line is, it goes so fast! They keep up with cleaning the tables and the people behind the counter are very friendly, even when they're rushing to get to the next person. My favorite location. :-)

Chipotle is the best fast food out there, its relatively healthy ,inexpensive and pretty consistent across its different locations. It usually is my first choice if I have nothing to eat at home and my favorite is chicken tacos with corn shell. I usually go to the Highland Park location. The staff is pretty friendly however beware that the parking can be tricky during rush hour time.

The line is out the door because the area university students can use their meal plan funds here. If you are not a university student, order online and avoid the insane line. I would not go here if I had to wait in the line. Besides, it frees up parking to get in and out quickly.

Ive been to this location a plethora of occurrences, but one time in particular, an adorable lesbian girl gave me a free burrito. Made my day! ;)

This is Highland Park in a frenzy. All the teens are here, and they are clearly addicted, as is my son. I'm surprised the staff don't have most customers orders memorized. They seem to be here all the time no doubt ordering the same thing. I wanted to try the guacamole and chips. Sadly, it won't make my great guacs list. It's not bad, but it does have an after burn that I'm not a fan of. I sure as hell don't want it with the lousy chips that are borderline stale and flat tasting. Better off with your own Doritoes. I've had the burritos in the past and have no complaints with them. It's in a nicely situated part of the mall, and people still manage to get in and out of the parking lot.

I'm always amazed at how fast the line moves. Whenever I think it's crowded the line always moves super quick. It's fast food that good for you. Maybe they may have as many calories as McDonalds but at least it's not empty calories that your body struggles to process, in turn you burn it faster. The meat is also hormone free and they do some organic veg. For $7 how I'm wrong?

The worst chipotle i have ever been to. The last time i went, the burrito was so incredibly salty that had to spit out the first bite. I took it back and they made me the smallest chipotle burrito i have ever seen. It was less than child sized. Im never going back again.

Love this Chipotle! It's so clean ad has the best workers who are friendly. Pretty inexpensive and close to many other places in the Highland Park area.

This is hands down the best Chipotle in the cities. The line is almost always long due to the close proximity of St. Thomas, St. Kates and a few other local college, but it is worth the wait. This place will load you up on the good stuff, they don't skimp like other Chipotles. Like more barbacoa? Extra cheese? Mix up your burrito? No problem, no dirty looks here for those additional requests like other establishments. And don't forget about the delicious salty lime chips and guac, this place could make some serious bank if they sold this stuff in grocery stores! The only thing that kinda sucks is the parking lot is always a beast...all those bad Minnesota drivers trying to get in and out...not good.

When I want a little more of classier Mexican fast food place, Chipotle is where I end up. Chipotle not only gives you a lot of food for little money, but also fresh local ingredients. I This Chipotle is usually pretty busy. I think yesterday was the first time in about 10 trips where I didn't have to wait in a line that was out or almost out the door. Like a previous reviewer said, I don't blame the staff as they are hustling to make orders fast, but people in front of me usually can't make up their minds. The staff make the wait enjoyable as possible as they are quick with friendly smiling service and small talk. Some of the other Chipotle that I have been to in the Twin Cities haven't been as friendly as this location. I will definitely keep coming back to this Chipotle.

I will always like Chipotle, yesterday included. However, my only complaint was the waiting, to which I don't think it was the staff, they were working hard. I believe it was the people in line (in front of me). It took about 20 minutes to make an order (and the line wasn't that long regarding the # of people there). I also like that the place is so clean, the gal who was keeping the main area neat was a constant presence, and I appreciated her work ethic in making sure it was a clean, comfortable eating area.

Not authentic Mexican food by any stretch of its meaning. However, for this American box-chain shop, it serves some fairly tasty and fresh food. Plus, I couldn't be wrong using their recent 2-for-1 coupon. I got a burrito barbacoa with the fixings, including pinto beans. It was tasty, however the pinto beans seemed just a bit "toothy". Also, the lime wedges offered in the bin by the beverage dispenser were rather dried out and with little juice. So I just grabbed several wedges instead of only a few. With the coupon deal I had in hand, I also ordered a burrito bowl to go with chicken and black beans. The staff person putting my meals together was friendly and efficient. I pulled up a stool at their counter overlooking Ford Parkway and began nibbling away at my rather large bundle. Soon, there pulled up a car into a parking space directly in front of my view. Three young guys, high school-ish or early college-town, climbed out. One of them proceeded to, just after looking right at me through the window, spit, not away from the window and towards the parking lot, but towards the window with me behind it. Trying to keep my visceral disgust quelled, I found my thoughts wandering toward wondering about his bringing-up, his influences. And I decided that he was likely brought up in a cave by an 85,000 year old Neanderthal. Needless to say, this experience clouded my enjoyment of the burrito in front of me. Fortunately, my experience with the burrito bowl the following day at home was much more pleasant.

I used to love this place, but since "the turnover" the speed and friendliness of the staff has taken a nose dive. They used to be able to make burritos so fast that you practically never stopped walking as you gave your order and paid for your food. Now when it's busy you had better plan to take a quick nap before you even get to the cash register. The food is still good but the prices have gone up considerably over the last few years. Don't get me wrong, I think that Chipotle is great. I just think that this one used to be a lot better.

Have you read the nutritional information for this place? Holy freaking crap. The damn flour tortilla has OVER 200 CALORIES! The total package of a burrito and the fixins' easily tops out over 1000 CALORIES! Whopper with cheez, anyone? I mean, it tastes good. And there's something about the flavor that makes it seem more wholesome than Taco Bell or White Castle. But really, it's fast food. And it's cheap. And isn't that what this country is all about? I don't believe they've ever stared at my wife's boobs. I just asked her and she concurred. But she's also always carrying a toddler, which probably makes her look less hot. Unless you're into that kind of thing.

I love chipotle, it is one of the fast food options out there that I believe isn't completely horrible for you. Once I went to the Highland park location with a friend that had never been there and I was explaining the menu and and the manager there gave us our burritos for free because they were new.

Fast food burrito-slinging. I know of people who would drive 15 miles for this food, so they're local popular. It is true that there are not too many whiety accessible burrito places, but c'mon. You can do better.

  • Max M.

I'll acknowledge that Chipotle isn't of the zenith of authentic Mexican cooking. But hey, somebody's gotta be whitey-accessible. The food is consistently good, and thanks to all the locations you don't even need to drive fifteen miles. If you want authentic, go to Lake St. If you want some of the best fast food out there, go here. Going to high school in St. Paul, having a Chipotle a mere three minutes away was like an insurance policy against cafeteria lunches. I will always think fondly of this place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
